On Just Read About the Baha’i Faith: Must Muse

This dear soul is charming. Here is her take on the Baha’i perspective: “religions are evolving, eclipsing one another, melding….” -gw

The Soul on Every Path

Because the soul is on every path, and every path is full of souls to meet

Years ago, before Thing Three was born, we went as a family to Chicago.

Caught a freezing Cubs game, did some general sightseeing, and just happened in to the Baha’i Temple north of Chicago.

Could be that we went at nightfall, after a beautiful summer day, and the lighting was exquisite in the temple, but I had the creepiest feeling when I went in there. Like it really WAS a holy place.

I let it go, because I was already half-Christian, half-Jew (that was before my half-Buddhist, half-Hindu years…..) but I never forgot it.

So today I’m driving down the road and I see a local church has “messianic” services. (That’s Jews for Jesus.) I thought of the vitriol to which that sort of thing is received in the Jewish community.

They don’t understand why Jesus is even on their radar at all.

My sister used to hint that we should go Messianic, I couldn’t explain to her why it was offensive to Bill.

“It’s the natural fulfilling of the Old Testament”, she says.

I finally HAD the argument today, but I don’t think she’s speaking to me right now….

“So…the Mormons. They believe in Jesus. But they also believe in Joseph Smith. They think his prophesy is a natural progession of Christianity. Why aren’t you a Mormon?”

(See, *I* might then go, “Hey, I might BE a Mormon….let me think about it!”, but my sister would just go, “You’re crazy and going to hell.” My sister is SO not a thinker….)

Anyway….just read about the Baha’i faith. Don’t know why. But they do think religions are evolving, eclipsing one another, melding…..
Must muse….
