On the Baha’i Faith Coming in Second to Islam: In growth from 2000-2005

bahaiviews The Baha’i Faith in the U.S. grew by 2.6% in the last year. 4300 enrollments bringing total to 164,765.
Statistics on fastest growing religion (2000-2005), excerpting from an article by the LA Times . According to the report, the fastest growing was Islam at 1.84%. Next was the Baha’i Faith at 1.70%. (Thanks NZ for calling this to my attention!)

Baha’i are used to describing themselves as part of the second most widespread religion, second only to Christianity. If the report on percentage of growth in terms of membership is true, then Baha’s may claim second place in that category as well. -gw
