Lately I’ve been reading about the Baha’i Faith interesting stuff, being a Baptized Christian I;m finding it a challenge to understand i love the idea of all religions being one because i think i have always believed in that, but i have some issues as well as far as the roles of men and women and other things but i do find the Baha’i Faith very interesting. as far as my 15 month Daughter goes, I’m in a interfaith Marriage my wife is Jewish and we want to raise her with both religions and I’m thinking maybe the Baha’i Faith would be ideal for My Daughter.
All thoughts would be Appreciated
When I understood progressive revelation the Bible came alive to me. As a Christian for many years I read the Jewish history in the Old Testament it all seemed to fit together. The Old Testament told about the coming of Christ. Now I fine that in the New Testament Jesus gives all the things to look for in his return. The return is the next voice from God. I will come again–I will come in the clouds. I will come with a new name -among others. Baha’u'llah-Glory of God, is in the Bible 18 times.

I became a Baha’i 12 years ago when I was 65. I feel so Honored and Blessed. I feel your family would be too. You still are a part of both Jewish and Christian Religion. Many people can’t see because of the clouds in their eyes.
In the Baha’i religion every person has to search on their own. Find some Baha’is near you and they will get you material. Or go to Baha’i Firesides.
OR Call 1-800 228 6483 they will send you material. Just realize no one will try and tell you. It is individual investigation.
Wirg Warm Baha’i Love,
Kelly
One thing for sure I can tell you as I’ve raised four children in the Baha’i Faith and that is, that raising your children as Baha’is will help prepare them to be appreciative and accepting of the great world religions..
So I’m now following my son Rahmat on Twitter. He’s been a busy guy lately, editing video from Windstock 2009. -gw

Youth were at the forefront in the expansion of the Baha’i Faith in the 1970s, and are at the forefront now, too. In our Northwest Region these plans are in the offing, as conveyed in a letter from the Regional Baha’i Council passed on to our local community by the Assembly. -gw
The Council is looking to the youth of our Region to fearlessly raise the Banner of the Faith and to take their place at the forefront of the Army of Light. Last fall, many youthparticipated in Council-sponsored campus retreats at universities in Boulder, Colorado and Salt Lake City, Utah. These retreats were highly successful in that the youth created plans that they were able to implement and sustain throughout the school year. These plans not only helped to multiply the core activities and teaching on campus, but also contributed greatly to the advancement of the clusters where the youth reside.
Based on this positive experience, the Council has decided to re-name the program (from “retreat” to “advance”) and to expand it to include a larger number of schools. This fall, college-age youth from around the Region will be able to choose from:
Campus Advance-East: August 14-16 at the Univ. of Utah in Salt Lake City, UT
Campus Advance-West: Sept. 11-13 at Brighton Creek Conference Center in McKenna, WA
The purpose of the college weekends is to galvanize our youth so they will make teaching their dominating passion, will greatly expand the community of interest on campus, and attract their peers to the Cause. Youth will have an opportunity to share experiences, study the Writings and develop an action plan in coordination with local cluster plans.
Rich Young posted this as a comment on my blogger site. Wow! Has it really been 40 years since YOW? -gw
POW! (People for One World) is a conference that’s in the planning stages to be at Brighton Creek conference center in August. This year is the 40th anniversary of the 1969 YOW! (Youth for One World) conference in Wilmette that was one of the immediate precursors for the huge numbers of enrollments led by teams of youth doing direct teaching in the ’70′s. I thought it would be great for some of the people who were involved with the YOW! conference to get together one more time at Brighton Creek. We could have a hootenanny on the lawn and sing lots of folk songs, get reacquainted with each other and the development of our Baha’i lives over the years, we could have inspiring talks by people who are still probably some of the most dynamic Baha’is around. Unfortunately, people like Dan Jordan and Magdalene Carney, and Phil Lucas have passed away, while others like Glenford Mitchell are quite aged. Still, I would love to hear Sandy English or Chris Ruhe lead us in some folk songs. It seems to me that we are entering a similar stage in our growth of the Faith.
Newest Baha’i in Seattle is Ellie. Zabine emailed…
She loves “Heart to Heart” as it helped her to find answers to her many questions. All roads lead to the discovery of the claim and station of Baha’u'llah. Welcome home.
Ellie’s declaration was, I’m certain, by design.-gw

I consider Iran Press Watchto be one of the most important blogs in the blogosphere, important to the protection of Baha’is, important to human rights in general. I have watched it from its emergence what seems like just a few months ago to take its place of deserved prominence. The thought that has gone into its design has been very astute. I note that it now features a new, even crisper look.
You can find just the story you are looking for or quickly browse all of its recent content at a glance. Among its most helpful features is it’s Timeline and Map of Events.
This interactive timeline documents violations that have been perpetrated against Baha’is in the past 30 years, from executions, to arrests, expulsions and desecration.
This map locates incidents of violation that have been perpetrated against Baha’is. It is live evidence that the persecution is not confined to one location but occurs throughout Iran.
Pictures and videos, including videos that IPW itself has produced, are also quickly accessible. There are quarterly summary reports for easy download. Reading Iran Press Watch you know you have missed nothing relevant to the documentation of the persecution of the Baha’i Community in Iran. And all of this in multiple languages, thanks to the efforts of many volunteers.
