On I Spy “Baha’i”: The ultimate app for keeping abreast of the social media conversations I’m interested in

Always the one to keep to keep apace of the good apps, praVeen pops up on Google chat, hits me with this, and is gone in a flash. Spy is for “Baha’i” -lovers. Enter “Baha’i” into the form box and watch the results scroll down from multiple sites. -gw

spy can listen in on the social media conversations you’re interested in.

I created a group for Baha’i-related music on last.fm. I’d be happy if you joined: http://bit.ly/wSmmabout 10 hours ago thomasraukamp

benedictine-sheepFrom Spy I learn of Barney’s comment on Tess’ blog. I click over to her site to read the full text. -gw

Barney 01.25.09 at 10:23 am This is absolutely fascinating. How visionary, far-sighted and realistic Benedict was! I find some resonance between the Benedictine approach to leadership and the Baha’i approach. The emphasis in the Baha’i texts is on leadership as service and as enabling the members of the community (and others who wish to walk the path with the community) to use their God-given talents and capacities to the very best in service to their fellow human beings.

There is no individual Superior in the Baha’i community. Authority resides in elected bodies, but we do have individuals appointed to counsel and inspire and guide.

That said, many of the principles you’ve outlined here, Tess, would apply equally in a Baha’i setting. They are, indeed, ageless.
