On Baha’i Views: A description
By george wesley dannells on Oct 7, 2008 in All categories
So I’m putting together a new “about” page for Baha’i Views. Here is my current draft. -gw
- Covering mentions of “Baha’i” on the Internet
- Content of presumed interest to both Baha’is and seekers
- Collage-like
- Brief postings, usually
- Frequent postings, two, three, or four a day, unless I’m camping
- Blog-focused, with a blogroll that intends to be inclusive but is always out-of-date
- Predictably unpredictable, hopefully, as that is what I admire in other blogs
- With lots of photos & images (Creative Commons-licensed as found on flickr), more than is SEO-wise
- Pithy excerpts included, which I usually have to type in myself (no cut and paste) from Baha’i books I’m reading
- Characteristically clunky titles, always in two parts with semi-colon in between starting with “On” (which is certainly better than starting with “Off”)
- Personal and local teaching news, teaching.bahai.us-inspired, but international news, too
- Twitter-linked
- Official bahai.org and bahai.us links reposted on side-bar
- Bahai Views/Flitzy Phoebie flickr account-linked
- Tags, only if I feel like it, which hasn’t been much lately
- Proud to be on WordPress, after 28 months on my old friend Blogger as bahaiviews.blogspot.com
- Occasional coverage of poetry, music, and song, both Baha’i and -inspired, and the artists responsible
- Occasional coverage of other stuff I just can’t think of right now
- Sometimes serious, but sometimes trying to be punny
- Now operating with improved tolerance, adversarial and provocative post-free
- SEO semi-ignorant, but open to learning more
- Back in the pack (I’m an 87!) and happy 2 B a “B” blog
