In case you missed the fact …
Olympic return
Nelson Evora will represent Portugal at the Olympics for the second time in his career this summer in Bejing, where he figures to contend for the gold medal in the men’s triple jump. …
Man of faith
Evora is a member of the Bahá’í Faith, which is a religion founded in 19th-century Persia, emphasizing the spiritual unity of all humankind. According to Bahá’í teachings, religious history has unfolded through a series of God’s messengers who brought teachings suited for the capacity of the people at their time, and whose fundamental purpose is the same. There are about six million Bahá’ís in more than 200 countries and territories worldwide.
Hey, thanks NBC for including these facts! (Apparently not just the Baha’is find this newsworthy.) How many other Olympic atheletes have their religious affiliation included as part of their bio? -gw

Man! It’s everywhere!
It’s like the fact he is a Bahá’í is what makes him special! And maybe it is.
I mentioned it once in my blog, a few months ago. They usually connect his calmness and balance to his religion. Or, sometimes, his uniqueness.
And the best thing: he is really that smiley guy u see on the pic!
